Hi, i have had made progress in trying to get Windows 10 reinstalled on my acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14 i tried to reset it but then it got stuck on the acer logo page, and came across this article as it seem the best thing to do.

I have to admit that I'm surprised when people have a hard time reinstalling Windows with the Media Creation Tool, and I'll explain why:.

The reinstall media, whether it's a USB flash drive or a DVD, completely bypasses the computer's hard drive. It really doesn't matter how crazy your computer is or what problems it has, because the installation simply ignores all that and starts fresh. If you know that your computer's hardware will work properly on Windows 10, either because you know the hardware manufacturers support it on Windows 10, or you know from experience that it works properly on Windows 10 even without support; then the only other thing you need to know is how to boot your computer from the recovery media - USB flash drive or DVD - and that information will be on the manufacturer's website.

As for the Tool itself, I find the instructions on Microsoft's website quite clear, and the same are available in many languages for those whose first language is not US English. I have created the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's instructions several times, with never a problem. Microsoft designed the procedure so that the average user can do it without resorting to fancy high-tech maneuvers.

Still, it's always a good idea to prepare in advance, and there's no end of explanation on the internet that will show you what will happen. Your goal should be 'no surprises.
